Compliments When You Least Expect Them

I was at my psychologists office on Thursday in the lobby, and this mother and daughter always wait to see their psychologist at the same time as I do. Only the mom walked in that week, and she thanked me for talking with her daughter. All I had talked to her about a week or so ago was keeping a positive attitude.  I think the mother was appreciative because when it comes from someone you don't know, but who is in a similar situation, it can make the words so much more powerful than if it came from her mom yet again. That really made my day. And, my week!

Positive Mental Atitude - How We Talk

This posting will be short and sweet. Part of who you are, and who I've learned to become is through my attitude.  Most of us get to chose how we perceive each day and each outcome. There are a couple of things you need to do every day in order to be successful in this endeavor. First, you need to come up with a unique  Positive Affirmation . This statement should be said every day, at least once. When I wake up in the morning, I pronounce to the world, " I Do It All. "  Bellow are 2 examples. "Life is What I Make It." "I can Accomplish Everything today." "I am a Successful Person."

The best part about having a chronic, incurable medical condition is that you get to, and should live every day to its fullest. When I was a growing up I was a healthy boy who loved being outdoors playing sports with his neighbors, wrestling with his cousin and doing it all with all my other good friends. I would play Red Alert and Red Alert 2 with my brother - running between his room and mine to go over our strategy And, every summer my family would take a vacation with our close family friends.
