Compliments When You Least Expect Them

I was at my psychologists office on Thursday in the lobby, and this mother and daughter always wait to see their psychologist at the same time as I do.

Only the mom walked in that week, and she thanked me for talking with her daughter. All I had talked to her about a week or so ago was keeping a positive attitude.  I think the mother was appreciative because when it comes from someone you don't know, but who is in a similar situation, it can make the words so much more powerful than if it came from her mom yet again.

That really made my day. And, my week!
